1)First prize for poster presentation in the "14th International Conference on Vectors and Vector Born Diseases" held on 9-11th January 2019 at Bhubaneswar.
2)Corona Warrior Award was presented by the state for outstanding work for laboratory diagnosis and management of COVID in the year 2021.
Contribution to the COVID-19 epidemic.
The pandemic which started early in the year 2020, took its toll globally resulting in socio-economic consequences. During this tough period the regional Viral Diagnostic and Research Laboratory of ICMR-RMRC, Bhubaneswar with me as the Nodal Officer played a crucial role in supporting the state in particular and the country as a whole. It was a difficult task but I along with my team took the challenge. The laboratory personnel worked 24x7 in three shifts, also during the wee hours of the day without any holiday. I was also responsible for the validation of the kits, quality management, capacity building, and training for different testing laboratories in the state during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I am also a member of ASM (American Society for Microbiologists) and IAMM (Indian Association of Microbiologists)
Have chaired and attended several workshops on infectious diseases and their prevention.
