Your Team

Real Estate team at Walmart is focused on the development of Intelligent Software applications by leveraging a vast amount of data. These applications are powered by data science and ML models. Our applications help to improve the operational efficiency of Real Estate business domain. These enterprise solutions are deployed across all our global business markets.

Your Responsibility

  • Drive the maintenance and support of 40+ Real Estate solutions across the globe.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and alert handling of these solutions using advanced applications like Splunk, Dynatrace, Spotlight, Xmatters, Azure AppInsights and Azure monitoring.
  • Resolve production Incidents within SLA – Ability to debug and analyse production issues in detail across systems.
  • Perform Problem management & RCA to proactively reduce production incidents.
  • Responsible for Infrastructure management across Walmart computes and cloud infrastructure.
  • Fix problems, test and deploy to resolve production incidents.
  • Work closely with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
  • Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.

Your Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline and 14+ years of experience
  • Strong experience of leading Support teams for 5+ years.
  • Good experience and knowledge of ITSM Support processes and related tools is mandatory for the Support lead position
  • Strong expertise in Unix/Linux systems with scripting experience in Shell, Perl or Python
  • Good grasp of networking fundamentals and core protocols and tech such as: TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, load balancers, distributed file systems.
  • Capability to program in at least one language, ideally Java or NodeJs or UI skills like ReactJs or React Native is desired.
  • Strong database skills - key-value and relational databases. Experienced in SQL, Stored Procedures, DB Scripts, ETL etc.
  • Logging and Monitoring experience designing, deploying and running systems like Splunk, ELK, New Relic or other APM solutions is an added advantage.
  • Exposure/Experience to Cloud technologies is an added advantage.
  • Capable of technical deep-dives into code, networking, systems, and storage with very bright, experienced engineers
