You will be working as R&D Senior Embedded Engineer and will be part of Motion Business Area for Traction Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible to developing and testing of applications/product software as per the product requirement specifications. Reviewing the applications developed by software engineers and ensuring they meet required project standards.

Your responsibilities

• Understanding the product development requirements and performing software-focused development activities on system/product projects, including design, coding and unit testing

• Developing new and adapted design of software modules, system setups and system integration

• Using agile practices for ensuring quality during development and testing

• Supporting the senior engineers in the implementation, designing documents and ensuring software solutions integrate into the systems solution to meet the functional design specifications

• Creating and executing the unit level test descriptions for the scope of project being executed

• Resolving customer specific issues/complaints received for assigned products as per the agreement with the L3 and L4 technical support team

• Ensuring the adherence of defined configuration management guidelines & plans. Performing release and build management activities

• Generating new ideas. Participating in seminars and technical conferences

Your background

• Bachelors degree in Engineering

• Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in Embedded Software development

• Good Proficiency in the Embedded design and development with knowledge of RTOS and programming with C++ using OOPs concepts, programming in C

• Preferably worked on protocol development such as CAN based protocols, Profinet , Modbus TCP/IP, Profibus , Anybus CC, IEC61850

• Should have experience of testing Embedded products in Industrial applications

• Good working knowledge of Matlab Simulink and ork experience on Vx works Platform and FPGA would be an added advantage

• Ability to clearly communicate in English to an international audience is a must and experience of working in Agile teams would be an advantage See Less
