We are looking for a firmware developer at ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited (GISPL). This is a company which has 4 business areas to support ABB R&D projects globally. We are located in Bangalore, India and we have 2000 employees as a part of this company serving in the areas of Research, Development, Engineering center and Regional ERP support center which contributes to ABB's 4 business areas globally. You will be working with the teams which are developing and validating shippable products for the India and global markets. You will also be a part of global R&D community spread across the ABB MOSD division.

Your responsibilities

• Developing Firmware of variable frequency drives at various layers of its architecture

• Collaborating with global/ local R&D and product management teams to develop world class products

• Demonstrate solid competency in embedded C++/C programming and design concepts

• Collaborating within R&D community and aligning with agile software development principles

• Demonstrating strong commitment to quality culture in ABB R&D

• Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business

Your background

• Bachelor’s / master’s degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or related field with 3 to 5 years of experience in embedded SW programming on C++

• Must have strong experience in Embedded C++, in embedded system design and development

• Hands on experience with debugging tools such as IAR or equivalent

• Experience in Unit testing for the developed modules / components

• Experience in working in Agile teams and strong understanding of agile ways of working

• Experience about CI/CD processes, Jenkins or equivalent tool
