- Actively monitor and administer the applications and hosting environment to increase efficiency, improvereliability, and minimize downtimes.
- Triage and analyst technical solutions to environment related issues encountered by new and existingapplications in the environment.
- Support developers with change requests, uptime, performance, Build and deployment related issues, andaccess.
- Troubleshoot and debug environment and infrastructure problems found in the production and non-production environments.
- Measurement, optimization, and tuning of system performance and ensuring that systems will run reliablyand are highly available in a 24/7 production environment.
- Responsible for the design, implementation, and support of large scale infrastructure across ADP Canada private cloud solutions.
- Participates in the design and implementation phases for new and existing products, with a focus ontechnical knowledge for successful execution of the requirements.
- Help engineering implement new technologies in development for future production deployment.
- Working with team to analyze and design infrastructure with 99.99% up-time with server virtualization,clustering, replicating databases, disaster recovery, and redundancy.
- Work with engineering for detailed understanding of systems as required
- Give technical guidance, knowledge transfer and mentorship to engineering peers as required and leadtechnical staff responsibilities,Server Maintenance based on updates, system requirements, data usage, and security requirements.
- Manage and control the continuous release promotion cycle (through automation) including the followingenvironments: development, QA, Performance, Pre-prod and production.
- Develop deployment scripts on a lifecycle automation platform for the orchestration, integration andautomation of Configuration promotions and software releases.
- 4– 12 years of Experience in working with management and maintenance of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Experience with cloud infrastructure.
- Extensive experience on Devops tools like BladeLogic, Ansible,Subversion, GIT, Jenkins, Bitbucket repositories.
- Experience with tools like Splunk and monitoring tools like Nagios, Intrascope.
- Experience with Puppet will be an advantage.
- Prior experience or exposure to container technology - docker, orchestration, container scheduling.
- Experience in Clustering, Message queues, load balancing, and session persistence.
- Experience in Database performance tuning, backup/restore.
- Ensuring in High availability and expertise in disaster recovery
- Strong scripting skills in any of the following : Python, Ruby, Powershell, UNIX shell scripting and Perl.
- Familiarity with deploying and configuring JAVA and .Net applications.
- Solid background in systems engineering and operations.
