You will be working as Continuous Improvement Specialist and will be part of Process Automation business area for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India. Your responsibilities
• Supporting the deployment of strategy and objectives for continuous improvement at a local organizational level. • Ensuring the continuous improvement approach and strategy deployed at local ABB unit level is aligned with the global strategy. Facilitating significant improvements with respect to safety, quality, delivery, inventory or cost targets, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments in collaboration with local leadership
• Promoting awareness and commitment regarding continuous improvement at local management level. Promoting and implementing improvement programs and projects within their own area of responsibility, with a hands-on (Gemba) and problem-solving approach
• Promoting a systematic fact-based approach to identify and evaluate opportunities for future improvement
• Working towards disseminating a continuous improvement mindset and culture at all levels, activities, and functions to promote behavioral change for continuous performance improvement at local level
• Providing training support by developing and maintaining training modules and toolkits aligned with business needs in collaboration with management at local level
• Tracking programs, initiatives, projects and key performance indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate progress and value, enabling decision-makers to allocate resources and recognize success
• Driving or supporting systematic benchmarking of external processes and techniques, incorporating relevant learnings into local ABB practices
Your background
• Diploma or Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electrical & Electronics
• Required with 10+ years experience in contract negotiation, sourcing strategies and supplier performance
• Having industrial exposure in cement, minerals, material handling, metals, high power rectifier and paper industry
• Having product exposure in E-House, Busbars , Cooling System, HVAC See Less
