What is Corporate India Doing to Ensure Diversity at All Levels of the Workforce Unraveling Corporate India’s DivHERsity Programs for Women to Scale Up the Ladder

AccelHERate 2021 on March 5 — India’s biggest (virtual) B2B conference for companies — brought together thought leaders from Accenture, Airbus, Eaton and Mastercard Incorporated who shared their unique DivHERsity Programs that were put in place to help women scale up the career ladder. 

These include returnship programs, gender sensitisation programs, campus hiring and dedicated hiring drives, among several others.

At the table were:

  • Prema Suresh - Head of I&D and Culture & Change, Airbus
  • Swati Varma - Manager, Inclusion & Diversity, APAC, Eaton
  • Suanshu Malik - Director, Human Resources, Mastercard Incorporated

#AccelHERate2021 showcased the Top 5 Most Innovative Practices - DivHERsity Programs  

Key highlights: 

  • Suanshu Malik presented the unique programs that Mastercard Incorporated provides women professionals to ease their transition into the workforce, give them opportunities to secure a future with the company and many more. She highlighted the need for women to be more courageous and step up to their goals and career aspirations and take advantage of these opportunities.
  • Mamata S presented programs run by Accenture to accelerate equality for all, where everyone feels they belong. She stressed that Accenture is committed to building a 50-50 gender-balanced workforce by the end of 2020. 
  • Swati Varma highlighted key aspects at Eaton that drive the company’s Inclusion  Diversity model. She spoke about their key strategic initiatives which include inclusive ways of working to engage and develop employees, enhance collaboration and learning and ensure that the diversity of their workforce reflects the marketplace and the communities they serve. 
  • Prema Suresh highlighted Airbus’ I&D vision — to be the leading employer of choice and to provide a safe and healthy organisation for employees while providing value for customers, through their key initiatives.
