They probably have one of the most innovative and innovative offices in Bangalore right now, and in just a few years they raced ahead of everyone else in the game to lead the market in mobile advertising. They pioneered in the maternity-leave discussion and implementation of family-friendly policies for their employees, paving the way for other corporates to follow. The value that they place on gender diversity in the workplace is no secret; they’ve shouted it from the rooftops all along, to show how it has impacted their bottom-line – positively. InMobi is an industry leader, an India leader, and now a champion of bringing women back to work with JobsForHer, an online portal that connects women on a career break with companies across India that want to hire them.

And, last Friday, JobsForHer & InMobi co-hosted a one-of-a-kind exclusive workshop for women on a career break, with some of the biggest movers and shakers of the corporate world coming forward to be a part of the movement to bring women back to work.

Senior leaders from Amazon, GE, Philips, InMobi Technology, and JobsForHer came together to help women deal with the varied challenges they face during their career breaks - family biases, guilt of leaving their households, and lack of confidence, among others. Women had the opportunity to meet and network with industry experts and InMobi’s leadership team, and learn from the invaluable tips and insights shared in the sessions. They came out stronger, more confident, and determined to get #BackToWork.

The event kicked off with Neha Bagaria, co-founder of JobsForHer, and Seema Vijay Singh, ‎Vice President & Global Head, People Operations at ‎InMobi introducing the #SheIsBack initiative and what it intends to achieve. This was followed by a panel discussion on “Ways & Means that Corporate India is Investing in Women at Work”, and a session from Kevin Freitas, HR Leader at InMobi on how to leverage personal and professional networks and social media to find jobs.

Namita Vyas, Head of Talent Acquisition APAC and Diversity Hiring at ‎InMobi then hosted a floor walk of InMobi’s awesome office after lunch. The InMobi Team followed this up by hosting a DIY networking game - a fun and informative session where participants learned how to use people within a room as resources to find solutions.

The day wrapped up with two different sessions on how to stay updated while on a career break, and an interactive discussion with InMobians.

The women who attended the sessions through that day couldn’t have been a happier, more charged-up and ready to get back to work bunch of people! Their enthusiasm, excitement, and drive to succeed in their career restart mission was palpable throughout the day.

All in all, this pioneering effort on the part of InMobi with JobsForHer was a great experience for everyone involved!
