AccelHERate, March 5, 2021. What an eventful day it was! Over 300 companies got together on a virtual platform to join us in our mission to build a diverse and inclusive workforce.

India’s BIGGEST B2B conference for companies committed to increasing female participation in the Indian workforce, AccelHERate 2021 included a series of panel discussions, roundtable and workshops with thought leaders across industries. The conversations were rich with ideas and thoughts on what India really needs to do, to bring more women back to work.

Corporate bigwigs got on board to share their most innovative practices in DivHERsity Policies to foster the career growth of their women employees, such as maternity leave, paternity leave, flexi work timings, remote working, sabbaticals, etc.

  • Misha Joshi, Senior Director, Professional Services & Renuka Rajagopal, Sr. Director, Real Estate & Workplace - India, VMware Software India Pvt Ltd

Key themes that were discussed:

  • Satinder Kaur shared her company’s theme on AOP which stands for ‘Architect of Positive’ features, also Capgemini’s ideas and policies on diversity and inclusion. 

 

  • Anjali Rao says, “Diversity and inclusion have always been an integral part of Intel work culture and every year we have only done incremental work in this space.”

 

  • Kriti Jain shared Myntra’s D&I objective which is to create a culture where all can belong, where employees can bring their full experiences and authentic selves to work every day. 

 

  • Sonali Mungale adds we should absolutely move from women-friendly policies to family-friendly policies.

 

  • Misha Joshi & Renuka Rajagopal communication revolved around ‘Why Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Matters to VMWare’, also highlighted the key initiatives that VMWare runs to support these DEI policies.
