For two years I worked in Purchasing Department - I visited over 178 suppliers that directly supply parts to us , studied their supply chains all the way till Raw Material Level and analysed their Pro...duction Risk in the first project. Then in close interaction with their senior management , I developed a pro-active Production Risk Mitigation Plan for each of the 236 supplier companies. I got immense insight into the automobile supply chains , the industry standards, their globalized network and optimum utilization of resources available. This project gained huge recognition in the entire company and I presented it to Honda Motors , Japan- Sustainability Team for them to deploy the same in their supply chains.Post this, I was given an opportunity to work as Product Planner on my manager’s recommendation. In the past one year , I have been individually handling BR-V and supporting for models CR-V and City in India . My current line of work revolves around studying the four wheeler automobile trends , mapping and deriving at the future trends to bring a new model in the Honda Cars India product line up, cross segment feature benchmarking to bring the best feature packed and technologically advanced vehicles to India , without compromising on the profitability of a model by setting appropriate price for the same in the Indian context.

It ...is unconventional for women to be in Automobile Industry in my country and I have always done my bit to encourage more women with passion like mine to move in the direction of their dreams fearlessly . Five years back, I started the Indian Network of Lean In . Lean In is an online global community of women started by Sheryl Sandberg , COO of Facebook to promote ambition among women and young girls. I have mentored over 300 such young girls to realize their dreams and work in the direction of their dreams with passion, just like I have always done. As Co-Founder at Lean In India, and also the youngest country leader for any Lean In network in the world, I was invited to represent India at Lean In Asia Summit at Asia School of Business, Malaysia 2016 and Lean In Regional Leader Conference at Stanford University , California 2018.
