Vinita Shrivastava

Vinita is a transformation oriented HR leader with over 24 years of industry experience. She is currently the Chief People Officer of Sasken Technologies Limited and leads the global Human Resources function there. Prior to Sasken, Vinita was with Harman International Industries Inc., a fortune 500 company. She was part of the core  India Leadership team and global HR Leadership team that set up the India Development center of Harman. She spearheaded the growth of the India Development center of Harman from a handful employees to a 2000+ people organization that prides itself in being a great place to work. On the Global front, she set up the Global Mobility function for Harman worldwide and successfully led this function. Vinita also essayed global roles in L&D, Compensation/Benefits and Talent Management while at Harman., across both multiple geographies and global projects.

She is a leader passionate about building an Organization based on performance and innovation, driven by a culture of empowerment, transparency, trust and a strong learning orientation.

Prior to joining Harman, Vinita was with the Captive center of Tesco, one of the world’s largest retailers.

She started her career in HR with HCL Technologies. She was with HCLT for ~9 years where she worked across multiple functions within the HR department. Her last 2 assignments in HCLT were Head of HR for Shipara (a 100% subsidiary of HCLT), and Head of Employee HR Shared Services for HCL Technologies Bangalore.

Educated in Management from Cornell University, USA and Bhopal University, India, Vinita is a National scholarship holder for Graduation and a Gold Medalist for Post Graduation. She was awarded the “Woman Super Achiever” award for 2010-2011 by the Employer Branding Institute, and “Women at Work Leadership” award in 2012 by the World HRD Congress. Vinita is a regular speaker in HR conferences and was the Chairperson of the CII Karnataka HR panel for 2016-17, and Vice-Chairperson for the year 2015-16. She is a member of National HRD (NHRD) forum. Currently, she is on the Board of an Indian Company.

Vinita is passionate about a healthy lifestyle. In her leisure time, she likes playing the piano, reading, painting, exotic cooking and spending time with her family. She lives in Bangalore with her husband and daughter.
