Seema Ahuja

A multifaceted Corporate Communications & Brand Management expert, Seema Ahuja has been in Senior Leadership roles in the Pharma & Life Sciences Sector since 2007. During her career spanning over 27 years she has played a critical role in reputation management and Corporate Brand PR for various leading public listed companies in the Hospitality, Pharma, Life sciences and Biotech sectors.

She is steering the Global Corporate Communications, Brand and Digital PR function for Biocon since 2012, and has enabled recognition of Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw as a global influencer. Previously she drove Brand communication strategy including rebranding of Jubilant Bhartia Group and its entities across various sectors, as Vice President- Corporate Marketing & Communications. She played a pivotal role in creating a strong reputation of Global Brand Ranbaxy in late 90’s and in mid 2000’s laid the foundation for a strong global reputation building program for Lupin Pharma.  

Conferred with several awards and recognition during her career, she was ranked at No17 amongst 100 Most important PR & Communication Professionals in 2017 and also received ‘The Communicator of the Decade Award from PRCAI in 2017, besides being featured amongst ‘India’s Top Ten Women leaders in Corporate Communications’ by Reputation Today magazine.

A regular speaker at various Brand and Communication, Women Empowerment, Pharma & Lifesciences related forums, she is also engaged in mentoring young professionals, enabling them shape into world class communicators and brand management experts.
