Samarpita is currently working as Vice President and Country Head HR for a Fortune 500 company. She is part of the global HR leadership and the country leadership shaping the organization for a paradigm shift in its operating model. 



Prior to this role she was Head for all operating divisions of Novozymes South Asia and was part of Global P&O ( People and Organisation) Leadership team of Novozymes. 


She joined Novozymes from Wipro Technologies where she was heading HR for one its largest vertical - Telecom and Media and was part of the HR Leadership team of the SBU. 


Samarpita has handled various roles in her various stints which include Strategic Recruitment CoE, OD, Compensation & Benefits, Mergers & Acquisitions, HR Transitions, Large HR Program Management, Leadership Development, along side handling BP HR responsibilities. 



She is passionate about Organization Development. One of her key interest areas is Merger and Acquisitions, HR and Organization Change Management and integration support. She also has experience in setting up HR Global Shared Services Teams and Recruitment Global Shared Services Teams and managing large HR operations. She has strategized and institutionalized multiple HR models and practices in her career to date, contributing to institution building in addition to HR solutions delivery.


Prior to Wipro, she has worked for Essar Group as a Management Trainee and Consultant.



Samarpita has worked in both ‘consulting’ and ‘corporate roles’ across different industry sectors and complex businesses and has gained experience across the entire value chain of HR function. 


In addition to her post qualification experience, she has one year of experience (prior to doing her management course) of working in Publication Houses and Teaching.
