Prathyusha Smita

Smita has spent the last 11+ years in the areas of Cloud-based Content Delivery Services and Information Technology (Telecommunications). She started her career as a software engineer at Infosys where she worked for telecommunication giants like British Telecom and Telenet, helping them build high-performing and secure enterprise applications in the areas of CRM, Billing and Network monitoring.

• She then went on to join Akamai's professional services team, focusing primarily on Pre-Sales (Emerging Americas SMB customers) and Post-Sales (A+ Americas e-Commerce customers) support. This gave her the opportunity to help design and build complex solutions for some of the biggest American e-Commerce brands. More recently, over the course of the last 3 years, she has had the opportunity to build, coach and manage a technical Pre-Sales team which works in the SMB segment, supporting a $50 million business, providing high-end consulting services.

• She is also a trained life coach, diversity advocate and a self-trained, public speaking coach.

• Smita’s personal journey through the corporate jungle has been through some interesting hoops, having survived marriage, child-care, a travelling spouse and a night-shift role.
