After a successful career in the Information Technology industry managing large teams, delivery of IT projects, Operational excellence and customer delight for large banking captives for 25 years,
I switched my career to work in the space of gender diversity and headed the JobsForHer Foundation. In the 18 months that I single-handedly headed the not for profit foundation, which was setup to bridge the gender gaps in India, I built a unique brand, numerous partnerships and a large community of women who experienced a variety of learning interventions through workshops, conferences, trainings and hands on projects. While I was able to bring about a positive mindset shift among the women, I turned my attention to the need of the youth of the country. I went onto serve as the Director – Relationships at National Education Society of Karnataka. My focus in that role was to work closely with the industry veterans to build the industry academia connect to ensure the curriculum of the institutions was relevant to the current and future industry needs.
I am now a freelance consultant, and conduct various training programs and workshops on leadership and behaviours. I also coach people to progress in their careers.
I have been invited by prestigious forums like Lean in, IEEE, PMI, TIE across the globe to deliver talks on a variety of topics. “Networking for Results” and “How to tell your Story” are two of my signature programmes. I also write articles on many platforms. I have been featured via chat shows and podcasts to understand my leadership mantra which has helped me, my teams, and the organisations that I have worked with, to reach their goals. I have also been invited to review books of leading authors! I have also been on the jury panel for many “Innovation” Competitions including the MIT Sloan School of Management, USA’s Inclusive Innovation Challenge. I am currently writing my first book titled “You Have Arrived: no glass ceilings, no broken rungs, no glass cliffs” which will be a big influence on the readers especially to young girls and women in terms of navigating their life and career successfully.
