Gayatri has worked in different roles for about 25 years, the last 15 as a consultant to organizations in the learning & development space. During this period, she has designed an rolled out several interventions to organizations ranging from nascent start-ups, social enterprises to highly recognized brand names.
Her work as a coach and organization development consultant to organisations has been predominantly in the areas of leadership development, organisational growth and self-development. She is a specialist in interweaving self-awareness and empathic connections into larger interventions.
As a facilitator she has effectively reached out to diverse participant groups across varied organizations. She has successfully facilitated interventions in 4 languages and 8 countries and worked with group sizes 6 to 220. Her talent in storytelling coupled with her skill in high level strategic planning, has helped her make meaningful connects with such diversity in large groups.
As a designer of learning programs, Gayatri has created programs in leadership development, management development interventions, cross-cultural management, functional effectiveness and entrepreneurship. The methodology she uses is largely experiential, often incorporating non-verbal layers into workshops. Her approach within an intervention is measured and self-aware, always insisting on giving the pre-work enough time to percolate through to form the basis of the design.
The framework that she is closely allied with is positive psychology more specifically, Appreciative Inquiry and the Strengths paradigm. Her coaching philosophy is based on non-directive humanistic principles. Less is more, and silence has great power in the coaching space, is her working principle. She combines structured processes with the unstructured ,using robust assessments to lay the groundwork for deep reflection.
She is a committed learner and invests significant amount of time and effort in her areas of specialisations, as a continuous process. An avid environmentalist and an enthusiastic supporter of the arts, she finds inspiration in working on related projects and finding ways to mainstream the learning into her organisation development work. This has helped her clients see connections to mind and body in their development journey, where she integrated theatre and drama in self-exploration sessions.
Gayatri is on the advisory board of a couple of non- profit organizations and is an empanelled faculty member/consultant with two international leadership development organisations. She coaches individuals and organisations pro bono as her contribution to social development.
