Dola Mukherjee

Dola Mukherjee, senior HR professional with over 17 years of experience, has been instrumental in linking HR strategy to business strategy across different roles she played. She has developed the talent strategy in the areas of strategic HR leadership, building high performance culture and teams, leadership development, organisation development, employer branding, and building governance & control strengthening organisation architecture.

Dola has been with Biocon Group for over 6 and ½ years now. Currently she is Associate Vice President HR where she leads the Business HR Org and leads the Diversity and Inclusion as well as Change Management Initiatives for the Company. She has focused on growing HR support for all the business units like R&D, Manufacturing and Support functions in India, as well as support the Malaysia operations, which is part of one of the fastest growing business units in Biocon today. During her first few years in Biocon Group she was leading HR function at Syngene International (CRO wing of Biocon) growing it from 1500 employees to 3500 employees during which Syngene also transitioned into a publicly traded company. She has been a key member of leadership team driving change and growth in a service focused organization.

Prior to Biocon Group, Dola has worked across different industries managing various strategic and operational roles in HR. She has held several positions of increasing responsibilities across industries including Media & Entertainment, Manufacturing, IT Services and HR Consulting besides Biotech/ CRO. To name few companies which she has been part of: Accenture, The Times Group (Bennett, Coleman and Co), TVS Motor Co., Reliance Entertainment and now with Biocon Group.  

Dola obtained her Advanced Management education from global institutions like Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, India & Kellogg School of Management, North-western University, Evanston IL, USA. She is a behavioural training facilitator and a guest faculty in several management institutes. She has been a recipient of several awards in HR fraternity over last few years.

Actively involved in being a leading voice for gender equality in companies worked as well as in social set up. On the personal front, she is mother of a 10-year-old boy, and interests include travelling and sports.
