You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze applications, and ensure proper testing and deployment procedures are followed. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that applications are properly packaged, customized, and compatible with our systems, optimizing performance and user experience.Key Responsibilities:
Application Packaging: Package various software applications using industry-standard tools such as MSI, App-V, and MSIX, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and adherence to organizational standards.
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for application packaging, including version compatibility, customization needs, and deployment preferences.
Compatibility Testing: Conduct thorough compatibility testing to ensure that packaged applications integrate seamlessly with existing systems and environments, identifying and resolving any conflicts or issues that may arise.
Customization: Customize application installations as necessary to meet specific organizational requirements, including configuration settings, file associations, and user preferences.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for packaged applications, including installation guides, release notes, and version histories, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for end-users and IT support teams.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to verify the integrity and functionality of packaged applications, conducting pre-deployment testing and troubleshooting to address any issues or deficiencies.
Deployment Management: Coordinate the deployment of packaged applications within the organization, working closely with IT teams to schedule installations, manage dependencies, and minimize disruption to end-users.
Patch Management: Stay informed about software updates and patches for packaged applications, managing the packaging and deployment of updates to ensure security and stability.
Secondary Role: IntuneAs a secondary responsibility, you will also serve as an Intune Specialist, leveraging your expertise in Microsoft Intune to manage and support the organization's mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) solutions.Key Responsibilities (Intune):
Configuration Management: Configure and maintain Intune policies and profiles to manage device settings, security controls, and application access across a variety of platforms and device types.
Application Deployment: Utilize Intune to deploy and manage applications to end-user devices, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and security policies.
Security Compliance: Monitor and enforce security compliance standards through Intune, implementing device encryption, conditional access policies, and other security measures to protect corporate data and resources.
Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for Intune-related issues, diagnosing and resolving problems related to device enrollment, application deployment, and policy enforcement.
Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and documentation to support end-users and IT staff in the use of Intune, providing guidance on best practices, configuration procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience in application packaging, with expertise in packaging tools such as AdminStudio, InstallShield, or Advanced Installer.
Strong understanding of software deployment methodologies and technologies, including MSI, App-V, MSIX, and PowerShell scripting.
Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) solutions, preferably Microsoft Intune, and experience in configuring and managing Intune policies and profiles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Intune and Azure Security Engineer Associate are a plus.
