We are currently looking for a Sr Consultant, Architecture to join our IT Organization. The architect proactively and holistically leads and supports activities that guide the development and management of technical solutions for Technical Services using Salesforce.com. These solutions enable the organization’s future-state business capabilities and drive the organization’s targeted business outcomes.

The Sr. Architect provides the leadership, facilitation, analysis, and design tasks required for the development of the enterprise’s technical architecture. We are currently looking for a Sr Consultant, Architecture to join our IT Organization. The architect proactively and holistically leads and supports activities that guide the development and management of technical solutions for Technical Services using Salesforce.com. These solutions enable the organization’s future-state business capabilities and drive the organization’s targeted business outcomes.

The Sr. Architect provides the leadership, facilitation, analysis, and design tasks required for the development of the enterprise’s technical architecture. The Sr. Architect will create deliverables that help develop targetstate guidance (blueprints, standards, guidelines, individual parts, dictionaries, platforms and configurations) for evolving the technical platform landscape across the enterprise, in order to enable business strategy and deliver targeted business outcomes. They enable and orchestrate the delivery of targeted business outcomes through facilitating and making technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

The Sr. Architect will demonstrate competencies across two key dimensions:

Guide and Implement Solutions

● Works closely with the product managers, product owners and architect peers (e.g., enterprise, business, information, security and solutions architects) to enable agility, scalability and resilience to support required product needs throughout product life cycles.
● Lead Salesforce architecture and technical team; design, create and enhance application architecture and assist the client to shape their architectural vision and roadmap plan.
● Design and instruct the solution framework to the Salesforce development team.
● Translate business requirements into manageable technical tasks combining technical expertise with business knowledge on Customer & Technical Service concepts
● Create PoCs for the client to help them understand the proposed solution and also drive the solution meetings with Customers.
● Understand the User Stories and provide accurate work load estimates.
● Leads the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt, and recommends solutions for improvement. Stay current on Salesforce releases
● Coaches, mentors and collaborates with technical and functional subject matter experts and peers to develop technology architecture that enables and drives new business capabilities and operating models.
● Defines high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the future and current state, typically in sync with the IT budgeting or other capital planning processes.
● Documents necessary architecture design and analysis work, possibly including project postmortem documentation and metric collection
● Collaborates with business constituents, leverage other architecture team members and SMEs, project teams and staff in various IT functional areas as needed to fulfill the responsibilities described above.

Derive Future-State Technology Architecture, Analyze and Evaluate Investments

● Consults on, technology implementation activities to harmonize systems with the enterprise technology architecture and identify when it is necessary to modify the technology architecture to accommodate immediate or future project needs.
● Oversees and facilitates the research, evaluation, and selection of technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations
● Works with architecture peers in other product areas and across platforms and with Enterprise Architecture to analyze business context (business strategy and trends), as well as change requirements from other architecture viewpoints (such as business, information and solution) to derive the future-state technology architecture. This includes defining the requirements, principles and models that guide technology decisions for the Service & Technical Services ecosystem.
● Drives digital innovation by leveraging innovative technologies and approaches to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core technology base.
● Leads the analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact (thru PoC) on the technology architecture, organizational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures and culture) and financial impact.
● Guides technology investment decisions based on analysis and evaluation to drive targeted business outcomes while ensuring nonfunctional requirements are met.

Qualifications:

● At least a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
● 10+ years of design and implementation experience in IT
● 5+ years of experience with full Salesforce Implementations, with at least 2 in Service cloud.

Additional Sales and or Community cloud experience is an advantage.

● Certifications in Platform Development 1, Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce App Builder
● Certification in Service Cloud is a minimum mandatory requirement
● Specialist knowledge on packages related to Salesforce.com such as CPQ, Conga, is desirable
● Expert knowledge in SQL/SOQL/APEX/Dataloader/LWCs. Java/C++ is an advantage
● Knowledge on XML, SOAP and REST APIs
● Good Understanding and working knowledge of Agile Methodologies
● In-depth understanding of CI/CD concepts, Security, Compliance, Encryption, Audit, Data Residency, etc. and the ability to guide implementations.

Skills & Characteristics:

• Experience delivering CRM capabilities that span multiple product areas and industries

• Knowledge of many, if not most, components of an enterprise technology architecture
• Understanding of SDLC methodologies (such as waterfall, spiral, agile, rapid prototyping, incremental, and DevSecOps, synchronize and stabilize)
• Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). Knowledge of IT standards and controls
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others and be respected as a leader, with excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Excellent analytical and technical skills
• Strong communication (verbal/written/listening) skills.
• Experience working in remote teams across continents & time zones is a plus.
• Understanding of network and security architecture
• Organizationally savvy, with understanding of the political climate of the enterprise and how to navigate obstacles and politics. Displays intellectual curiosity and integrity
• Ability to understand the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term perspectives of situations and how they relate to achieving targeted business outcomes
• Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of existing, new and emerging technologies that enable and drive new business designs and models
