Role/Responsibilities:
In this role you will be a member of the Moody’s Analytics’ team creating and supporting some of the industry’s leading software solutions for the structured finance industry. You will be involved in all aspects of SDLC, working directly with key business stakeholders to build and support key Structured Finance applications.
Typical Responsibilities include:
• Brainstorm, design and develop an enterprise software product.
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Ensure the product is highly configurable and extensible
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Work collaboratively with a core team of architects and developers spread across different locations.
• Get involved in full-stack development when required.

• Develop reusable frameworks/components and POCs to accelerate development on projects.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development and minimum 3 years experience
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript / Typescript.
• Design and develop Microservices systems with Java, Spring or Node.js and frameworks available for it.
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Hands on experience with MongoDB, SQL Server, Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, Elastic Search.
• Must have experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including Lambda, Kinesis, API Gateway, CloudFormation, VPC
• Experience with unit test practices , Application Logging and Monitoring tools
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals (e.g., filesystems, system calls) and administration or networking (e.g., routing, ESDN).
• Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design
• Strong debugging, analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
