Job Description

<p>As an Information Technology (IT) Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and with a cooperative team on complex projects that may span multiple infrastructure components or applications. Further, you will contribute real value by developing, integrating, and/or supporting in-house and purchased applications or infrastructure solutions in order to solve business problems.</p> <p>Desirable Qualifications: Oracle Database Analyst</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Experience in SAP Linux/Unix environments</p> <p>Work as Oracle RAC DBA and provide operational support for SAP database.</p> <p>Worked as DB2 database administration and maintenance</p> <p>Install, Configure, Manage and Monitor Oracle Databases</p> <p>Performance Optimization, SQL Optimization, Troubleshooting</p> <p>Data Guard, Backup and Recovery</p> <p>Scripting and Automation</p> <p>Performs Oracle database installation, configuration, patching and upgrades in a SOX compliant environment</p> <p>Configure and optimize AIX/Linux servers to support Oracle databases</p> <p>Work with application service owners and technical leads to ensure project and service deliverables are met</p> <p>Responsible for providing database expertise to project teams to maximize system availability, efficiency, and security</p> <p>Work with development teams and 3rd party vendors throughout the development life cycle regarding optimal use of database resources and features</p> <p>Assumes ownership of database related problems; pursues problem resolution and root cause analysis.</p> <p>Responsible for opening, managing, escalating and resolving SRs with Oracle/SAP Support</p> <p>Will be the subject matter expert on the supported applications and will provide support to the on call DBA</p> <p>Responsible for validating the backup strategy and performing on demand backups and restores</p> <p>Proficient Real Application Clusters (RAC) administration</p> <p>At least 6-8 years of Oracle Database&nbsp; administration experience with Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The individual must possess strong technical, analytical, problem solving, excellent team interaction, interpersonal and communication skills.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Excellent working knowledge on&nbsp; SAP applications with Linux, Unix and Windows operating systems, for databases Oracle and knowledge on DB2.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Additional Skills</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>AIX/Linux administration experience is a plus</p> <p>Experience using Oracle Enterprise Manager is a plus</p> <p>SAP Basis experience is a plus</p> <p>Experience using SAP HANA/Sybase/Postgres/MySQL is a plus</p> <p>Knowledge of Remedy preferred but not required</p>
