Job Description

As an Academic head for Nursery to Grade XII, responsible for Curriculum building, lesson plans for each grade in sync with the CBSE curriculum
Accentuate teaching quality by developing teacher training programs
Responsible for regular Teacher Assessments/ Observations and feedback sessions
Responsible for finalising the academic calendars - for students as well as teachers.
Effective & efficient planning as well as procurement of resources and study material.
Research on educational trends and pedagogies to share with teachers/ educators.
Augment constructive parent interactions
Lead the Teacher Trainings & Culture building sessions
To reach each and every student before we teach the student
To know his/her personal details and family background
To be aware of each student’s learning style and social-emotional quotient
To pay attention to their physical and mental growth and bring it to the notice of teachers and parents as and when required
To ensure overall safety and security of the students from the time of entry to exit
To host and organize various Assessments/ events/field trips for students to deepen their learning
To ensure that each student achieves at least the minimum levels of learning by the end of the year
To ensure that student learns in as many different ways as possible to make the learning enjoyable
To measure and record student progress from time to time with evidence and in sync with the school’s assessment policy
To train the teachers on best practices in age appropriate child growth and learning pedagogies
Research on educational trends and pedagogies to share with teachers/ educators
To interview and hire teachers who suit the culture and environment
To induct the new teachers in the environment after HR has inducted them with rules and regulations
To provide teachers with adequate resources to conduct teaching and learning activities
To identify, access and develop a leadership pipeline from the existing teachers
To evaluate teacher performance from time to time for appraisal in conjunction with HR Department
To develop a growth mindset and to constantly keep sharpening your saw
To provide regular strategic inputs to promote the growth of the school
To showcase the work / achievement of the school at various forums and platforms
Always keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of education
Always keep the vision of the school in mind when taking decisions and guiding teachers
