JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT
Finance Capital Analyst will provide partnership and guidance to a variety of business and functions stakeholders delivering insights to drive optimal performance on capital execution and supporting on the application of policies to ensure accounting principles are being followed. This role is also accountable for delivering complete and accurate information for the financial statements and management reporting for leases, projects and fixed assets and the monitoring of internal financial controls.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Oversee Capital spending processes – Utilizes knowledge of accounting principles to assist stakeholders with questions regarding capital spending and performance, fixed assets and leasing.
• Provide analysis and guidance on proper treatment of asset acquisition, disposal, impairments, accelerated depreciation, budgeting, etc.
• Communicate, educate and implement corporate policies and local procedures in the businesses supported. Includes mentoring & training personnel, developing reporting tools and alignment with other functions as necessary.
• Help maintain and monitor controls related to project accounting processes. Consultation and collaboration with appropriate corporate resources to ensure proper implementation of controls framework.
• Develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years of related work experience.
• Other minimum qualifications may apply.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Project accounting/CAPEX accounting experience.
• Fluent English communication skills (both oral and writing).
PRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCES
• In depth knowledge of project accounting methodologies and processes.
• Experience working as a financial analyst in a manufacturing environment.

• Understanding of project management and commitment processes and payback calculations.
• Experience in interpreting corporate policy with translation and application to the business including the ability to write a policy and communicate/train others.

Cargill markets leading consumer brands of edible oils such as Nature Fresh, Gemini, Sweekar, Leonardo Olive Oil, Rath and Sunflower brand of hydrogenated fats. We also markets wheat flour under the Nature Fresh brand name.
