Position Purpose & Summary

This Compensation Analyst position will work as part of GHRS – CBS Compensation Reporting/Analytics team in Cargill’s Business Services, which enables Cargill to build the capabilities needed for the organization’s future workforce and workplace. Do you thrive on in depth analytical work? We are looking for incumbents to analyze and discover value through data and information that drives value for Cargill. Candidates will demonstrate a strong ability to gather, analyze, visualize, tell stories and provide insights with Cargill’s Compensation data. This position support Compensation reporting and metrics by applying advance knowledge of HR systems and expert data analysis skills. The position will work collaboratively and partner closely with Compensation Analytics team in Total Rewards. At this level, work is performed under general supervision and the role is expected to independently solve moderately complex data related issues while referring more complex problems to a higher-level staff.

Principal Accountabilities

Annual Compensation Support – 20%
Based on the remedy force requests this position will be responsible for providing first level support for themanagers
Administrating end to end Compensation module during Annual Compensation process and responsible forhandling exceptions in the process.
Responsible for setting up Compensation system, ensuring high level for data accuracy.
Partnering with Global Compensation, Regional Compensation for comp related projects and solutions
Data validation / Cleansing – 30%Responsible for the data accuracy within Cargill’s selected technology and systems and the total rewards programs.
Regularly interfaces with other analysts, EC data team, Total Rewards experts to understand and build processes for proactive monitoring of data integrity.
Skills in cleansing data and data blending to make consistent
Paying attention to detail and ensure 100% accuracy across the processes
Data Analysis / Visualization – 40%
  • Use the design and delivery of globally consistent support tools and analysis and effectively communicate with team.
  • Contribute to domain area compensation data requests, analysis, modelling through data visualization of insightful proposals to help drive Total Rewards decisions for TR Analytics team.
  • Manage and optimize the utilization of the market pricing technology system and data integration.
  • Analyze insights and perspectives on Total Rewards-related research.
  • Independently conducts the complex analysis requiring a deep understanding of performance variables, data management, measurement and/or analytics, data design principles, concept, and practices.
  • Builds standardized dashboards and reports to meet Total Rewards requirements while maintaining a focus on efficiency and repeatability.
  • Visualize and report data findings creatively in a variety of visual formats that appropriately provides insights to the organization.
  • Gather different data sources to perform integrated analysis of data to answer business questions.
  • Skills in cleansing data and data blending to make consistent and effective for analysis
Additional Projects – 10%
  • To bring Continuous improvement ideas, nurture and implement across different processes.
  • Building capabilities in Compensation domain
  • Works with Global Compensation Analytics Team to build and adhere Total rewards processes and execute projects to enhance/mature analytical capabilities.

Qualifications
Education, Experience, Skills
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Statistics, Data Science or similar field.
  • 4-6 years of Human Resources/Business experience
  • 2+ years of data visualization technologies such as Tableau, MS Power BI, or any BI tools.
  • Experience with analyzing data utilizing industry techniques and practices (filtering, classification) and analytics functions (over, median, rank).
  • Capable of presenting outcomes of analytic models and Iterations in a format easily understood by business.
  • Experience in Compensation will be an added advantage, but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and within a team

  • Ability to manage, analyze and manipulate data
