About Us

The story of MG began in 1924 in the UK. In the years that followed, MG's stunning cars were the ride of choice for many celebrities, including British Prime Ministers and several members of the royal family. MG has continued to be a style icon through the years. That legacy has continued and MG has made its way to India under the leadership of the SAIC Motor Corporation Limited, the world's 7th largest automobile company.

Above all, we are here to bring the best of automotive experience to our customers; experience that will reflect our heritage, sports legacy and our unique culture.

MG has inaugurated its first manufacturing facility in September 2017 in Halol, Gujarat. It has launched its first product, MG HECTOR – India’s first Internet Car. With internet inside, the next-gen i-SMART technology in the Hector promises to deliver safe, connected and fun experiences.

We at MGI understand that many times potential women take a hiatus their career due to many personal reasons. Structural onboarding program, need-based trainings, coaching programs and internal mentors/buddy are few of the MG initiatives to facilitate easy transition for these returnees.

    We understand the importance of motherhood. Happy parents means a happy and productive workforce. Female employees at MG are entitled to 26 week of paid maternity leave. Team MG is committed to provide a smooth transition to these female employees after the maternity break. Female and Male employees are also entitled to adoption leaves at MG.

To support and guide employees through these difficult situations, MG has Employee Assistance Program that provides 24/7 coaching helpline and plenty of online resources to assist employees. Several in-person awareness sessions are conducted at MG to create an awareness about this program.
