Women friendly policies
Maternity break of 26 weeks can be extended upto an addition of 52 weeks in the event an employee wishes to take extended leave to nurse the child and in absence of family support. Crèche facility upon return. In addition, employees can choose to take half day or alternate day work for upto 4 weeks upon return.
Crèche facilities are provided for employees with children up to the age of 6 years at no cost charged for the employee.
Sexual harassment Policy
POSH (Prevention of Sexual harassment) policy is applicable to all employees (including contractual employees) of Biocon and all its subsidiaries and asserts zero tolerance towards any form of harassment and any offence of sexual harassment action taken within 24 hrs of reporting.
We have transport facilities for all locations within Bangalore. Designated parking in central locations for women driving themselves to work with reserved parking for those in advanced stage of pregnancy and with locomotor disability. Biocon encourages women to leave by 7pm and transport extended to those working late for late evening travel.

Women employees can choose to take half day or alternate at work for upto 4 weeks upon return after pregnancy. Biocon has launched part-time opportunities for women in sales support roles. The anticipated benefit would be to transition the talented professionals into full-time in due course.
