The company grew by 100% in Mumbai in lesser than a year. Anu's role required her to lead the team in hiring ~ 2,000 colleagues with more than 200 leadership roles. Having a fantastic team, I really only needed to coach them to deliver results in a strategic fashion and prepare the organisation for the blend of the new and tenured. Adding spice to this journey which required telling new faces the depth and intensity that a 195 year old global company and 25 year old Mumbai company had, was a huge merger in January 2016 between Willis and Towers Watson! Mentoring the HR team to be more strategic and less reactive, Anu has been working with the leadership team to restructure the India organization to deliver on expanded vision and critical operational transformation plan. Working together with the senior leaders, Anu's efforts have always been to work alongside the HR frontrunners, frontline leaders and colleagues on the floor to ultimately result in the organization’s attrition was at a 10 year low in 2016-17. In line with the organization’s objective, Anupama strongly believes and strives to drive a truly inclusive and diverse work culture. The various engagements and initiatives led by her and the superlative HR and leadership team at Willis Towers Watson have resulted in the low attrition rate in the organization along with a perfect gender ratio (1:1) at Willis Towers Watson GDS. Few of these initiatives include the Career 2.0 program which focuses on bringing back those women to work who had dropped out of the workforce due to various life events, recruiting under the Armed Forces Program and launch of the LGBT+ Network in India.
