Neeraja Ganesh decided to switch her career to work in the space of gender diversity after having mentored women from diverse experiences, age groups, industries and domains, to help them grow in their careers. While she mentored women working in her company way back in her IT days, the experience of mentoring women outside of a corporate setup, confirmed her belief that much needs to be done to show the path to women in our country who have the innate talent but lack the knowledge of where to find help in terms of mentoring, coaching, networking and, more importantly, understanding that these are important elements in one’s professional growth. After volunteering for a couple of years with various initiatives to help the cause of gender diversity, she headed the JobsForHer Foundation which has been setup to bridge the gender gaps in the country.
An IT professional till 2017 with her core compentencies in Project and Program management – she headed some of the big portfolios in the top IT companies like ANZ and Capgemini in India. She always had a special interest in helping women grow in their careers and hence, had been a mentor to many women. She is now a designated career mentor on many mentorship portals. She was also awarded at a TEDx Women event organised by the Dayananda Sagar Institutions for her 25 years of achievements in the corporate world. She won the HerRising Award in 2019 in the Women Professionals category
