Roopa Wilson currently leads the Diversity and Inclusion function for IBM India, bringing in a rare combination of business acumen and a passion for organisational turnaround by partnering with Talent & Business Units to ensure appropriate integration of diversity programs, messages, metrics, and accountability in all of IBM’s HR and Talent activity; expertise in people analytics and proposing recommendations on decisions related to people.
She is a computer science engineer by qualification and has spent a decade in the technology industry writing code for complex enterprise applications. She has built a career which is at the intersection of technology and human resources.
Within the D&I function, she has consciously married the people centric agenda with a data driven approach, leveraging information and turning it into insights to add business value. At an organization level, she has also been very actively engaged in a change management project on enabling part - time roles for women returning from maternity, launch of senior care programs for employees, Tanmatra - cross industry women leadership development program to name a few.
