We are seeking a Director – Software Engineering, who will help create powerful software and delightful experiences for multiple customers of GE Additive as an integral leader in the Software organization. This role will work with software, research, business, and external partner teams to define the way GE Additive reduces costly iterations to build better parts faster through software.
Qualifications/Requirements :
- Bachelors / Master’s degree in
computer science or related field - Minimum of 15 years of
professional experience in Software Development,Minimum 5 years of experience
in a managing software developers and products - Hands on expertise in web software development technologies, Skilled in UI technologies like AngularJS/VueJS/ReactJS, Microservices framework and datamodelling
- Demonstrated expertise & leadership in DevOps and CI/CD Demonstrated experience of leading large-scale IT implementations

- Essential Responsibilities :
- As Director
– Software Engineering, you will Demonstrate very strong technical leadership and people management skills including solid communication and analytical skills with thorough understanding of product development and successful problem definition, decomposition, estimation and resolution.
Enable rapid innovation leveraging Agile methodologies and scrum team of 10-15 software developers Design, develop and maintain operational rigor for continuous improvement of Products Partner with Principal architects to ensure Product quality & DevOps best practices. - Design for reuse, including services/APIs, and leverage reusable components where-ever possible. Influence decision making through active partnership with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Mentor and lead a diverse team towards realizing career aspiration while implementing business goals ,Communicate
effectively both within immediate team and GE leadership. Ensure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and results Build a world class software development team to consistently deliver complex software platforms and research projects of varying size and duration - Provide strategic technical roadmap on build prep platform vision and guide implementation. Be champion for emerging technologies and bench mark against industry best practices in Additive Mfg software.
