The Cloud based software will also have an analytics component that will enable improved clinical outcomes and enable Baxter to develop better strategy based on deep insights.In this role, you will be working on cutting edge enterprise, cloud-based technologies to solve some the challenging problems in the connectivity space of renal care products at Baxter. You will be architecting solutions working with some of the best engineers in this space, leading teams to solve tough problems and will be doing hands-on work to implement solutions that will be the future of connectivity platform at Baxter.Essential Duties and Responsibilities -
- A solid technical understanding of the principles and procedures of software engineering (e.g., SDLC, IEC 62304, CMMI, Agile).
- Experience with embedded or application software development.
- Be passionate about software quality and be prepared to advocate on behalf of good processes and best practices.
- Ability to discuss normally encountered technical or project management issues, both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to work as a collaborative team member.
- Lead a set of components within the sub-system and drive the end2end responsibility for the same
- Design and Develop core platform features independently with high quality and able to mentor/coach other junior people in the team to drive outcomes
- Responsible for the design & development of the subsystem features that would include activities like proposing the design alternatives, organizing the reviews, provide workload estimation, design documentation & continuous updates to the Platform Leader on the progress.
- Demonstrates awareness about competitors and industry
- Bachelors / Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field and 12+ years of related experience.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Solid hands-on experience in most of the following areas:
- Experience utilizing continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines and with infrastructure as code
- 5 to 7 years of database experience with one or more enterprise level database engine (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server).
- 5-7 years of experience with coding or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, NodeJS
- 3-4 years of experience with JIRA, Bitbucket/Git.
- Hands-on or exposure in most of the following areas:
- Programming and Framework Server: Java Servelet, JSP, Java Portlet, Spring Framework, Node.js
- Programming and Framework Client: HTML5, Javascript, JQuery, Angular JS, JASPER reports.
- Microservices architecture & implementation
- Middleware & Servers: Liferay Portal, Axeda, Apache Tomcat, Websphere, Linux Development and Continuous Integration: Eclipse, SVN, Git, JIRA, Fisheye, Sonar, Clover
- Database and BI: Oracle, Mysql, Datawarehouse, Datamart, Hadoop, Cognos, Tableau, Golden Gate
- Mobile: iOS, Android
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Demonstrated experience architecting small to medium scaled enterprise software application
- Experienced and demonstrated superior global collaboration
- Demonstrates spirit of innovation
- Ability to lead small to medium sized team technically and raising his/her own performance and others from time to time
- Demonstrated risk taking ability and challenging status quo
- Experience with Load testing IoT and REST web service applications based on server less architecture
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in leveraging AWS automation services such as Cloud Formation templates and integration experience with enterprise DevOps
- Prior experience on developing enterprise level software applications by leveraging AWS Server less architecture patterns
- 3 to 4-year experience with AWS IoT Core, AWS Lambda and APIGateway and IAM services.
- Exposure to Big Data, data analytics & machine learning is a plus.
- Previous experience in regulated medical device company.
- Experience with test driven development and automated testing is desired.
- Knowledge of medical device software development is highly preferred including knowledge of standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 14971.
