Knowledge in Feedback control theory, optimal controller design, observer/estimation techniques, stability analysis and linearization techniques.
Experience in detailed analysis, feasibility studies, performance analysis and prototyping, use of different protocol analyzer tools
Experience with sensors like temperature sensor, liquid flow sensor, pressure sensor, air-bubble detect sensor, rotary and linear encoders, etc.
Familiarity with sinusoidal and trapezoidal commutation schemes for brushless DC motors.
Familiarity with electric motor construction and theory of operation
Experience with continuous time, discrete time, linear and non-linear modeling and simulation of actuation systems using MATLAB® / Simulink technical computing software packages.
Leads the definition of product /design requirements, electronic system architecture development, design and implementation of electronic circuits, test of circuits and systems and the documentation and release of designs.
Ensures successful integration of electrical design entities with mechanical and consumable components.
Generates and/or improves electrical and electro mechanical designs that are optimized for production, reliability, regulatory compliance and cost.
Provide leadership to effectively transition products to manufacturing and ensure robust products and manufacturing processes.
Develops and maintains an effective and corroborative working relationship with internal and external development partners.
Performs in-depth electrical engineering analysis and calculations.
Manages integration of deliverables from sub-system design teams and external partners.
Resolves competing constraints between interrelated functions (engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, regulatory, marketing, etc.) required to deliver the product to market.
Defines protocols and conduct the necessary testing required to validate the safety and effectiveness of the design(s). Develop test plans, test protocols, and test reports for product integration testing.
Develops, modifies, and approves electrical documentation, specifications and drawings.
Leads the troubleshooting and problem solving efforts related to electrical aspects of devices and associated systems.
Creates and communicates design/test plans, tasks, deliverables and status. Manages time and resources to meet committed schedule milestones.
Mentors and provides technical assistance as required
Graduate or Post Graduate in Electrical or Electronics or related Engineering and 10 - 15 years of experience, including technical leadership. Prior experience in Renal device domain is a plus.
A demonstrated track record in electromechanical hardware development, preferably medical devices or other highly regulated products such as military hardware.
Knowledge and experience in design of embedded microcontroller based electronics devices, including FPGA-based, digital and analog design.
Experience testing electronic devices to meet immunity and emissions requirements
Knowledge and experience using CAD systems for printed circuit board design (e.g. Cadence, OrCAD, Allegro PCB) and data acquisition software (LabVIEW)
Knowledge of standards such as IEC 60601, IEC 61010, UL, ANSI and ASTM
Specific experience in design and development of sensing subsystems highly desirable.
