What you’ll be doingJob Description:Verizon India is looking for senior design managers who can provide thought and design leadership across our consumer product ecosystem which involves understanding the user needs, the current digital landscape and craft the experience across assisted channels (Centers & Retail applications). He/ She would also need to identify synergies and be able to work across multiple stake holder groups such as business and technology teams to drive& deliver on the experience design vision. He/ she would also be responsible for building a highly motivated team and foster a culture of efficiency (promotes: teamwork, employee respect, empowerment and open communication) and innovation within and across teams.The ideal candidate will have an understanding of cutting edge design practices, technology and have relevant experience in managing junior and senior level designers. He/ she should also have the ability to understand and manage stakeholder expectations while delivering on the experience design vision.Responsibilities:Technical:
  • Establish & drive the overall design strategy & roadmap for delivering on large multichannel applications/ product working across stakeholders.
  • Provide effort/capacity estimation, scope, and structure projects of varying degrees of complexity.
  • Oversee the entire delivery and execution process, ensuring and facilitating effective team communication and collaboration
  • Will need to collaborate across functional teams for smooth and efficient delivery while adhering to the specified quality standards. Establish successful working partnerships across various stakeholder groups.
  • Should be able to guide the development teams on adherence to the best practices & standards (UX, UI design, and UI engineering) .
  • Will also be responsible for hiring, coaching, mentoring and retaining design talent.
  • Keeping the team up to date on industry practices & trends.
  • Driving design sprints/ innovation campaigns within the team to foster a culture of innovation.
Customer focus:
Constantly reviews customer/ user feedback and ensures that we eliminate the friction points by deriving actionable insights from the feedback.
Recommends, develops, and implements experience design refinements based on customer, business insights.
What we’re looking forQualifications:
  • Formal Training in Design – Bachelors In Design / Masters In Design or equivalent
  • Relevant experience illustrating thorough knowledge design processes
Relevant Experience:
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in User Experience Design processes
  • In-depth understanding of the UX Design and SDLC Process
  • Adequate experience in telecom space on sales & service applications across channels.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving design across Digital, Call center & Retail applications.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects that required stakeholder management across multiple groups such as design, business & technology.
  • Establishing and ensuring the right process to ensure the final product is in line with the design specs.
  • Strong Planning and Organizational Skills that go along with proper time management
