Position Purpose and Summary:
The Cargill Business Services (CBS) Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project management
for efforts to migrate work from existing business units (BUs) or functions in APAC to CBS centers. The
successful candidate will be comfortable leading diverse multifunctional teams in multiple countries.
Strong influencing skills will be required for effective leadership across functions in a matrix management
structure.
The person in this position must become familiar with the CBS migration playbooks for various functions,
and be able to conduct projects in accordance with this process. Will need to understand the role and
function of each team member to effectively coordinate team activities. Projects could involve work in
finance, human resources, sourcing & procurement, or transportation & logistics.
Principal Accountabilities25%• Support 1 – 2 migration projects in APAC
- Responsible for working with the BU/Function and CBS Project Managers to:
- Define the scope of the migration project to be conducted.
- Assemble and lead / support project team.
- Assign / Track individual responsibilities
- Identify & manage appropriate resources
- Utilize the Migration Playbook to develop schedule to ensure timely completion of project
- Utilize Critical Path Planning to create the integrated project plan and optimize project progress
25%• Support 1 – 2 migration projects as receiving location project manager
- Lead / Support development of overall project plan to ensure all stakeholders and team members are in agreement.
- Utilize Critical Path Planning to create the integrated project plan and optimize project progress
- Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations accordance with the Project Plan, align stakeholders and team members
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project
- Measure project performance using defined tools and techniques, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions and communicate to all stakeholders
- Ongoing communication of project deliverables and progress with CBS, Functional, and BU leadership
25%• Lead 1 – 2 small migration projects in APAC
- Document key risk areas and develop plans to mitigate
- Implement the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events to minimize the impact of the risks on the project
- Identify & manage appropriate resources
15%• Provide detailed reporting of project status, risks, and issues to the CBS PMO
- Develop executive overview, project summart & project health
- Develop view on milestone and deliverables
- Issue ,risk & change management – Manage open issues, open risk and openchange request
10%• Document potential improvements to the CBS migration process
- Identify areas of improvement
- Document lesson lerant
- Inputs to CBS migration playbook updates
- Ability to analyze potential improvement opportuinties and create stakeholder buy-in
Experience
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 4 - 7 years experience in Migrations Project Management
• Minimum 1 year experience in managing F&A domain (either in migration, operation or transformation)
• Experience working with multifunctional teams
• Demonstrated success working independently in a remote, global environment
• Fundamental training in Project Management
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and establish process and structure
• Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
• Advanced degree (Masters, MBA, or PhD)
• Experience leading successful shared service migration projects
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience in building effective teams of domain experts and professionals.
• Experience in influencing and managing cross-functional teams with indirect reporting lines.
• Track record of positively and effectively leading people through change
