You will immerse yourself in all aspects of the end to end processes to become a subject matter expert in the Compliance & Privacy requirements required to deliver a robust and sustainable operational activity, acting with integrity and passion for doing the right thing.Key Activities include:Compliance by Design Governance – By using your compliance and privacy subject matter expertise provide business critical risk review analysis across all our end to end people data processes, identifying compliance and privacy (not process) weakness and provide robust solutioning as appropriate, including opportunities for automation.
Build and maintain a comprehensive global compliance & privacy database of all processing activity, conduct appropriate analytical review using this information to identify compliance & privacy risks and ensure all risk mitigations are delivered.
Using the Diageo 7 Key Data Privacy Principles and 12 Themes of the “Nymity” Data Privacy Framework conduct appropriate privacy risk analysis to identify appropriate actions to be mitigated including online process assessments, privacy impact assessments, risks solutioning etc in partnership with our dedicated legal teams.
Support the wider mapping, development & maintenance of all process, technology, vendors etc mandated requirements to ensure a robust privacy environment is achieved. i.e. delivery oversight of others.
Develop & Support Opportunities to simplify our Compliance & Privacy Governance standards e.g.
Retention Governance – Master Record Retention Development & Adoption

- Given the high focus on people processing risks a Graduate from HR, Risk Management, Audit or any other related work stream combined with related work experience between 4-6 years.
- Minimum 7-10 years working in process risk and/or compliance mitigation. Ability to understand risk in the end to end data management, workflow process within a complex, multinational organisation.
- Experience in operational data privacy risk management delivery essential.
- Understanding of Data at Rest (DAR) and Data at Motion (DIM) methodologies and technology application in Web, Email, Storage
- Ability to manage multiple projects, activities with strong prioritization skills. Whilst direct change management delivery is not required, an understanding of the change management activities will be an advantage.
- Ability to identify, analyse, and resolve problems logically and systematically
- Work collaboratively with senior management across the organization to influence change and commitment to continuous improvement. Ability to inspire and build trust, empathy, and mutual understanding.
- Highly curious, analytical and statistical individual, questions the status quo but knows when to escalates appropriately
- A proven ability to conceptualize and implement complex solutions through analysis of multiple data sources and operational contexts
- Strong verbal & written communication, including explaining technical information in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders, be able to influence decision-making.
- High self-motivation and ability to work autonomously
- Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
