Job Description

Purpose:
This role is with the PFNA Data & Digital Solutions team within PFNA IT.
In this role, you will play a key role in advancing PFNA data solutions & capabilities. You will execute
data-related initiatives in one or more functional domains (finance, sales, marketing, supply chain) by
leveraging BI tools (primarily Power BI and Tableau) against the PFNA Integrated Data Fabric to create
powerful BI visualizations for business users to quickly gain insights.
You will be an innovative, curious data professional who helps the organization build more innovative
capabilities in the BI space by leading efforts to deploy natural-language generation (NLG) and natural-
language query (NLG) / search-based data discovery platforms both within existing Power BI / Tableau
toolsets and other BI platforms (e.g. Tellius).

You will work with PFNA IT and business professionals across multiple functions to drive and support the
PFNA transformation to an insights-driven culture. You will identify opportunities for more streamlined
and automated approaches to solve business problems with data/digital solutions and advocate for their
adoption.
You will help manage and mentor other PFNA IT associates working in the data & digital space in support
of the above goals.
Accountabilities:
• Develop and Deliver new PFNA BI projects within Power BI, Tableau, and other leading BI tools (e.g.
SAP Business Objects, SAC) as needed
• Ensure on time and on budget delivery which satisfies project requirements, while adhering to enterprise
BI standards.
• Manage work intake, prioritization and release timing; balancing demand and available resources.
Ensure tactical initiatives are aligned with the strategic vision and business needs
• Manage partnership with vendors and leverage onshore and offshore models for work efforts
• Engage in partnerships with IT Leads, Enterprise Architects and IT services teams to develop and
maintain BI best practices and standards along with appropriate quality assurance policies and
procedures
Years of Experience:
• 2-4 years experience in BI development and delivery with Power BI; Experience with Tableau a plus
• Minimum 2 years experience in project management
Mandatory Technical Skills:
• Experience in developing BI solutions and managing Data, BI or Analytics projects
• Thorough knowledge of data warehousing concepts
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with collaboration and listening skills
• Good understanding of PepsiCo business processes, data, and EDW environment
• Strong functional domain expertise in at least one core PepsiCo business function a plus – sales, supply
chain, finance
• Experience building BI solutions on top of Hadoop / Data Lake-based technologies; Experience with
tools such as Denodo, Presto a plus
• Hands-on skills with SQL
• Strong understanding of data, systems and end to end data processes within functional area
Mandatory Non-technical skills:
• Ability to work with agile delivery methodologies
• Ability to ideate requirements & design iteratively with business partners without formal requirements
documentation
• Ability to budget resources and funding to meet project deliverables
Provides training and mentoring to less experienced team members
• Provides constructive feedback to managers and supervisors
• Positively influence immediate team members, including contract resources
• Ability to adapt to change quickly and handle unforeseen requirements effectively with limited assistance
for prioritization.
• Assists lower level employees with resolving unforeseen requirements. Leading and setting team
priorities.
Differentiating Competencies required:
• Strong BI development skills in Power BI (Tableau experience a plus)
• Ability to build an effective user navigation experience within a BI tools; ability to strike the right balance
to allow for minimal click to insights
• Good project & resource management skills
• Ability to work with virtual teams (remote work locations); lead team of technical resources (employees
and contractors) based in multiple US locations and off-shore
• Actively participate in technical discussions, driving clarity of complex issues/requirements to build
robust solutions
• Strong communication skills to meet with business, understand sometimes ambiguous, needs, and
translate to clear, aligned requirements
