Context/Scope:Global Diageo Business Services (GDBS) is a multi-functional shared service Centre that is managing Diageo-wide transactions across various world regions. Processes in scope are: Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Record to Report (Internal Reporting and Intercompany, External Reporting and Tax), Planning & Reporting, Treasury.DBSI Bangalore is the newest addition to Diageo’s global shared services organisation. This new entity willenable Diageo to takefurther advantage of its presence in India by leveraging its business services operations and networks.Arising from payment process are various statutory deductions such as PAYE, WHT and other statutory payments which require efficient management to avoid huge penalties normally associated with failure to meet such deadlines.

This position will work closely with In Market Company representatives of different levels and departments as well as relevant third parties.Financial:The incumbent will be in the team delivering:
- Over KES 30 billion annual payments
- Over 8 different paying currencies
- Over 1500-suppliers spread across the world and different tax requirements applicable.
- Diageo markets obtains supplies from all over the world and this role is expected to ensure timely payment in various world currencies using various payments methods
- Ensure timely and accurate quality check of invoices, including online payment (OLP) requests and down payments (DP).
- Quality checks are effective and evidenced by zero quality issues on Parked and blocked invoices.
- Invoices returned to vendor (RTV) are followed up to get replacement invoice meeting quality criteria and this is posted in a timely manner to forestall any impact on KPIs especially Payment to terms (PTT).
- Tracking and managing of the PTP shared mail box
- Ensure key vendor invoices are tracked e.g. DHL Excel Supply Chain
- Ensure all other critical vendor invoices are tracked to avoid payment delays.
- Printing and issuing all the vendors with the WHT certificates.
- Ensure all the relevant PTP CARM controls are operated and adhered to in their area of work.
Fully qualified accountant (CPA/ACCA)Experience
- 2-3 years experience in a computerised accounting department of a large, reputable commercial organisation
- Invoice processing in SAP
- Customer care and team playing skills
- Conversant with Purchase to Pay SAP application.
- Good understanding of AP process
- Experience in Invoice processing and Vendor reconciliation
- Understanding of accounting
