Position PurposeAs a member of the HR Solutions Operations India team, the Benefits Specialist will be accountable for the execution and delivery of core benefit operational HR services, including benefit arrangement & management. This includes in house medical reimbursement, government insurance as well as third party.Principal AccountabilitiesResponsibility/Duty75%Benefits and Operations Services

1. management of benefit workload to meet operational requirements

4. ensure all benefit information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements, and provide support to internal and external audits

  • Create proposals for stakeholders buy-in and implement any change in benefits.
  • Use general HR Services/Benefit operations knowledge to review and improve benefit policies and procedures, interpreting and implementing new legislation impacting benefit practice.
  • Leverage and enforce processes and technologies to support delivery of benefit services
  • Promote the use and implementation of tools/technologies to gain efficiency in delivering HR Solutions
  • Support the execution of the design and delivery of HR Services/Operations training/education sessions for employees, HR professionals, and/or supervisors/managers in the business
  • Ensure consistent adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements. This may involve working with legal resources/external consultants/vendors to interpret and implement complex/ambiguous policies

  • Maintain key internal/external relationships, which may include: business leaders, hiring managers, business/function human resource professionals, industry contacts, employees.
  • Champion a strong continuous improvement culture to ensure deployment of scalable, simplified and standardized benefits programs across Cargill.
  • Establish a culture of accountability and measurement
  • Express, model and reinforce a process-honoring culture
  • Ensure the desired business results are prioritized and the organization capabilities are operationalized (HR integrator).
  • As part of the HR Solutions network, and cooperating in synergy with the other members of the GHRS India team, the role is crucial for supporting and implementing the HR services delivery model.
Essential Position RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experienceExperience
  • 6 to 9 years of experience in operations and/or human resources within the country
  • Experience in employee benefits-India market within various industry.
  • Have exposure in the area of benefit management in the location and understanding of applicable legislation and complexity
  • Experience anticipating issues, problem solving and implementing solutions, including referring critical issues to the appropriate level of management, and improving efficiency, quality, cost and productivity
  • Experience positively influencing and collaborating while engaging the full scope of their teams
  • Demonstrated basic to medium business acumen. Knowledge of some businesses, functions, and processes as well as good knowledge of business and functional issues.
