Job Description
- Lead and Contribute actively in all product development activities which include investigation, design, coding and testing.
- Design and develop printer firmware capabilities to enable next generation HP printers
- Contribute in the end to end printer product development life cycle
- Generate new ideas that could potentially become product road map items
- Carry out reviews of deliverables which include investigation, design & code.
Minimum 14 years’ experienceKnowledge and Skills
- 10+ years of Firmware development, device drivers, low level platform level experience in C,C++, Linux
- Good understanding of processor architectures
- Hands on experience with board bring ups, debugging hardware level issues
- Hands on experience on Data structures, OOPs, Design patterns
- Experience in firmware development with a very good understanding of Operating System concepts. Working knowledge of RTOS such as Embedded Linux, ThreadX, Windows CE etc. Strong understanding of scheduling, task switching, semaphores IPC.
- Design of modules independently, ability to communicate across Vendors, Customers, internal stake holders.
- Excellent debugging and trouble shooting skills. Knowledge of GHS tools is a plus
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communications skills.
- Printer Firmware/Fax experience would be plus
