Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business stakeholders, in a global environment, to gather enough context to translate the business objective into an analytical problem
- Ability to work hands-on with vast amounts of structured and unstructured data to identify, analyze and interpret any trends or patterns
- Apply appropriate statistical and data mining techniques to arrive at a solution that is in line with business strategies
- Explore trends in the financial domain and analytics industry to identify newer, simpler and effective analytical methods in order to create robust solutions
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively present statistical outputs to a variety of stakeholders.
- Prior experience as an analyst or data scientist in the area of Customer analytics, Operations, Fraud or AML
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

- Technical expertise regarding data models, data mining, regression, segmentation, forecasting, and other multivariate data analysis techniques
- Strong knowledge of and experience with databases and programming (SQL, DB2)
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (SAS, R, Python)
Proficient in MS office tools like Excel, Powerpoint, and word. - Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
- Ability to work independently with various stakeholders / partners as well as a strong team player
- Graduate/Masters in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or Statistics
- Prior experience in BFSI domain and exposure to Big data, Hadoop, Scala, Pig, Hue, Hive, etc. will be an added advantage, but not a requirement.
