Position Purpose & Summary
This position is accountable for helping design and develop the capabilities of a cloud platform and automation of application deployment pipelines to the cloud platform (CI-CD pipelines)
Principal Accountabilities
Design and Build 75%
•Participate in a dynamic development environment where solutions evolve daily as customer demands emerge over time.•Build automation capabilities in the cloud platform for architecting and provisioning of cloud services. The services would be consumed as self-service by the end user through an automated deployment capability with CI-CD pipelines
•Build CI-CD pipelines with infrastructure automation, testing capabilities to facilitate auto-deployment of applications
•Understand application patterns for hosting in cloud and design, build new feature sets as a part of the cloud platform development work
•Build scripts that will backup databases and apps and restore on demand
•Write scripts using PowerShell, Python, and Linux shell scripting to help automate customer use cases
•Build and maintain Docker containers and other virtualization technologies
Business Analysis and Partnering 10%•Regularly interface with architects, analysts, process designers, business SMEs, and users to understand and evaluate business requirements
Community/Team Leadership 10%
•Actively participate in DevOps community forums to see what the community is working on and recommend tools and techniques that would help Cargill

QualificationsEducation, Experience, Skills
Required Qualifications
•College graduate, BE, MCA
•5 - 8 years in the software engineering and IT Solution Delivery
•Working experience with Continuous Integration & Delivery practices (Jenkins, XLDeploy, Drone, etc.)
•Experience in:
o Code repositories such as Git
o Scripting languages (Python and PowerShell)
o Using Windows, Linux, Unix, and mobile platforms within cloud services such as AWS
o Cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) / platform as a service (PaaS), microservices, Docker containers, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins
o Databases such as Postgres, SQL, Elastic
•Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate technical details in a clear and understandable manner
•Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
•Must be flexible to work with global teams and working on different time zones
•Knowledge of public cloud services and API's
•Experience in an agile environment – focused on advocacy and puritan beliefs
•Varying depths of experience in a variety of programming languages and tools including: Java, JavaScript, C, Python, Ruby (on rails), Grails, R, etc.
•Self-reliant, assertive, passionate and humble
Preferred Qualifications
•Masters Degree in IT, Business or related field.
•Experience with at least one Cloud Platform and Automation including: AWS, Azure, Google, VMWare, OpenStack, etc.
•Experience with at least one configuration technology including: Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
•Additional fluency in other language(s).
•Knowledge of AWS is preferable
•Preference towards open source technology
