This role involves working as a part of our wider Development team, guiding the team, and taking leadership in implementation of user stories with quality.Responsibilities
o Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
o Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
o Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
o Develop and implement risk mitigation plans
o Track utilization of resources and monitor schedule
o Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
o Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web- and desktop-based business applications built on Microsoft technologies.
o Assist in the documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
o Help prepare status reports, metrics to measure the health of the project
o Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
o Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
o Package and support deployment of releases.
o Work with teammates in the migration of legacy applications to cloud based application.
o Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications.
o Analyse and resolve technical and application problems.
o Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
o Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other stakeholders.Experience
o 8+ years of total experience in the industry
o 5+ years’ experience as a Software Developer
o 2-3 years of prior experience in a technical leadership position
o Iterative software development awareness (Agile methodologies), working knowledge of JIRA
o Gherkin / Behaviour-driven development (BDD) awareness
o Information security and requirements for safely handling personal dataCompetencies
o Proficient with Microsoft .NET 3.5+ development using C#
o In depth knowledge and experience with core Microsoft .Net technologies including: WCF, WPF, WF
o 2-3yr good experience in working on API & AWS
o Experience with web development using technologies including: NodeJS, JavaScript, AJAX, and CSS
o Experience with database development including relational database design like MSSQL
o Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise grade software
o Experience with source control management systems (GitHub) and continuous integration/deployment environments
o Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization
o Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented application development techniques
o Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment
o Effective communication of ideas and information, both verbally and in writing
o Take strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes
o Competence to work alone and with an appropriate level of supervision and guidance
o Capability to develop a strong working relationship with all the stakeholders of the product
o Ability to analyse information to identify problems and issues, and make effective decisions
