CCET - Pune - Research Distribution - Senior Build and Release Engineer (Assistant Vice President Job Purpose: • Build and Release Engineer with 9-10 years of experience having strong technical and analytical ability for management of build and release activities for Research & CitiVelocity technology to meet business requirements • Also provide specialised services and segregation of responsibilities for application release management • Management of build and release activities for Research & CitiVelocity technology to meet business requirements • Also provide specialised services and application infrastructure management for banking area • Be the central lead for Infrastructure team in Pune, has experience in working on complex and large platforms Job Background/Context: • The position is based in Pune, India and will report to the CSC Pune Lead • Candidate can work independently with minimum supervision and is highly self motivated • Applies skills and knowledge of the tools to develop creative solutions to meet client and business needs • This role is needed to manage application code build and releases to support global development community for Research & CitiVelocity technology • This role is important to ensure infrastructure stability along with adherence to access control policies for various application environments • Release engineering role with additional responsibilities for infrastructure management • Opportunity to learn global application environment • Opportunity to work with highly motivated team to deliver cutting edge latest technologies Key Responsibilities: • Software Configuration, Build and Release engineering across multiple applications • Code branching and release process management through all phases of application environment including non-Prod & Production • Management of code repositories such as TeamForge, SubVersion, GitHub, Maven • Work on build tools such as ANT, Jenkins, Udeploy • Automation of application build & promotion and repetitive tasks to allow single-click deployments • Manage code quality tools such as SONAR and continuous integration environment to support development activities • Manage Application environment using Apache, WebLogic, Oracle Http & iPlanet servers • Implement documented changes to Databases such Oracle, MySql and also NoSql data stores such as MarkLogic & MongoDB • Application environment setup using Java, WebLogic, TomCat, Apache and other web technologies on Unix/Linux/Windows environment • UNIX or Perl scripting for automation • Manage work activities via change management process • Engage and provide support for proof of concepts involving new technologies • Lead a team of infrastructure and build engineers • Manage the book of work for team Knowledge/Experience: • Around 9-10 Years of experience in build and release management and leading Infra teams and work in global environment. should be willing wo with highly motivated team to deliver cutting edge latest technologies • Experience in financial technology applications is a plus • Experience in team management and work load prioritization • Experience in financial technology applications is a plus Required Skills: • SubVersion, ANT,Jenkins, GitHub., Maven • Unix/Windows • Apache, iPlanet, WebLogic, Tomcat, Java, Scripting, Oracle, SONAR • Problem solving ability, Quick learner, Good communication, collaboration with multiple teams • Ability to coordinate and work with global teams • Ability to work with other support teams such as DBA’s, System admins, application support, etc. • Follow Citi change management processes to ensure environment stability • Be a part of global team to deliver quality services Good to Have: • Bachelor’s degree MCA/B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech (in computers, information technology or engineering) • Ability to work independently and delivery results to meet deadlines • Interpersonal skills to interact with global team members and clients • Excellent verbal and written communications skills • Strong work ethic with focus on adding value to the team • Candidate should be willing to work extended hours in order to interact with onshore team or as per project demand See Less
