Aparna Sanjay is an uncommon amalgam - a seasoned management professional who has more than 13 years of development sector experience.Her work has nearly always been at the intersection of business and the third sector; spanning business responsibility, social enterprise,pure-play nonprofits and most recently, venture philanthropy. Her 17 years of diverse experience include large account management, program management, corporate responsibility and venture philanthropy in both emerging and developed markets (India and USA).

What drove her to philanthropy after being part of the corporate world? Her work in the corporate world was neither personally fulfilling nor obviously contributing to society in any manner. She moved to CSR to stay in the corporate space but yet find purpose in her work and that's how her journey into the development sector really began. As time passed, she began to appreciate how her business skills could be of immense use to social sector organizations who typically are unable to access corporate sector talent in any meaningful way.

Aparna is a graduate from IIM Bangalore and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
