Anti-Discrimination and Prevention of Harassment Policy

Prevention of Sexual Harassment training- We understand that to create a work environment that promotes and enhances productivity, the workplace should be free from all kinds of harassment, including sexual harassment. Hence the POSH training has been inbuilt into the DNA of Mphasis with every employee going through the training as well as a refresher every year. An annual certification that every Mphasian must take to be aware of the role each of us play in creating a workplace free of harassment

Amenities Policy

The Integrated Circuit: An interactive program, designed in partnership with our customers that allows for an intimate setting where stories and lessons learnt are shared. It is an exclusive interactive program designed by the I&D office with top executives, mostly women from either our clients or internal employees. The intent is to have their stories and journeys shared through the platform so that the audience can truly get a chance to know these achievers better. We hope through these events, we are able to support, comfort and encourage our women employees to push through barriers and challenges. It also provides food for thought for the managers, both male and female to think through the challenges faced by women that hinders career growth and an inclusive work environment for our employees. This initiative of ours has also been recognized by BCG (Boston Consulting Group) as one of the industry best practices in the 2017 survey that was conducted by them.

Geek Goddess- Mphasis has been a a frontrunner  to ensure  in ensuring that Women in Technology get a suitable forum to showcase their talent and participate in the events at national/international levels. We partnered with Tech Gig to host events like Geek Goddess, where women technologists get a chance to showcase their coding skills with a larger community of developers. Interventions like these were extended to many other forms of engagement such as Blogathons, hosting webinars and a lot more. Last year we had four women technologists from Mphasis who made it to Grand Finale of TechGig Geek Goddess.


LGBTQ+ Inclusion and Awareness- We are also committed to creating awareness and acceptance towards the LGBTQ+ community in the workplace. We have worked on policy alternation and training programs to ensure that employees from the community are made to feel inclusive in our work environment at Mphasis.
Apart from hosting exclusive webinar and trainings for our employees on the Inclusion of LGBTQ+ in the workplace, this year we will also focused on the below to truly take this initiative to the next level

  • Making Systemic Changes on the HRMS tools ( provision for He/She/ Others) 
  • WIP to include the additional option to include same gender/ Live-in partners in our medical Insurance Policy
  • Introduction of Gender Reassignment Surgery Leaves


Diversity Week Celebrations – A weeklong annual flagship event with a series of webinars, learning sessions and awareness workshops all targeted to strengthen the I&D culture within the organization.


Katalyst- The ‘Katalyst’ program initiated and supported by Mphasis focuses on supporting the professional education especially in ‘STEM’ for girls from underprivileged and economically poor backgrounds. So far through the program 45 girl students have benefited to pursue their higher education. Through this program we are also creating a talent pool who would be supported to procure jobs within the organization.

While there are several steps in this journey, we have picked two focus areas - Gender and Disability, around which a number of strategic initiatives have been designed.


Gender Diversity: Equality is one of the most basic human rights. In the current corporate scenario, gender diversity and equality has become a critical driver as it ensures a positive impact across the organization in more ways than what was presumed in the past. At Mphasis we whole heartedly acknowledge this fact and are committed to nurturing a gender diverse and neutral work environment, so that we can partner with our employees to bring their best self to work without any prejudice or judgements. At Mphasis its not the gender but Talent that matters.


Ratio- We are committed to ensuring that the gender ratio at Mphasis is at 30:70 (Women: Men) at maintenance and would like to achieve a 32:68 as a future, target by 2022. Our efforts rally around maintaining and exceeding this ratio through strategic hiring campaigns on second career women hiring, focus of hiring from all women’s colleges etc. 


2nd Career Women- 2019 marked the start when it came to channelizing our efforts to hire women who want to rejoin the workforce after a break in their career. We successfully managed to kick start the program with nine hires in Quarter four of 2018-19 as a pilot. We would like to take this number to 50 in the financial year 2019-20  


Accolades- The Mphasis D&I program and policy was launched in 2016. In the last three years, Mphasis has been putting a lot of focused efforts in this direction. The below accolades and awards are a proof that Mphasis is headed in the right direction.

  • 2017- BCG recognised the ‘Integrated Circuit’ sessions as one of the industry best practices.
