Women friendly policies
Maternity Leave

Amazon India provides paid Maternity Leave offers benefit to employees including birth mothers and adoptive mothers. A birth mother can avail upto 26 weeks of paid leaves, adoptive/ commissioning mothers can avail upto 12 weeks of paid leaves.

Paternity Leave

Birth/adoptive father– 6 weeks within one year from the date of birth or adoption of the child.

Child Care Policy

Day Care: applicable for all employees (men and women) across all Amazon India with Children aged six (6) months to six (6) years

Flexi Option Policy

Work from Home Flexibility - Amazon India recognizes that situations may occur where employees may need to temporarily alter their work arrangements in order to better accommodate difficult or demanding periods of their lives, while still meeting the demands of their job. A WFH arrangement allows an employee to work from home, for all or part of the scheduled workweek through discussion and agreement with their manager and /or HRBP

Amenities Policy

Ramp back Program: This program will provide employees the opportunity to ease the transition back to work following a pregnancy-related leave of absence, and/or following a parental leave of absence for a primary caregiver. The Ramp Back program is not a leave of absence, but rather a short-term, modified work schedule for up to eight (8) consecutive weeks immediately following a qualifying pregnancy-related leave or the adoptive/commissioning mother leave.

 

Affinity groups: Our Affinity Groups bring employees together across businesses and geographies. With executive and company sponsorship, these groups play an important role in building internal networks for career development, advising Amazon business units, leading in service projects, participating in policy discussions, and reaching out to communities where Amazonians live and work.
