My dear son,

You are my joy and my most precious pearl.

It still seems like yesterday...

The moment you were born and I heard your first cry, my heart was yours.

With every milestone you reached, I reveled in joy and celebration. Your first words, your first steps filled our home with love, joy, and laughter.

Now that you are 18 years old, I celebrate your individuality and uniqueness. As you continue to grow, I look forward seeing you become a mature and responsible young man.

You have already experienced that everything in this world happens for a reason, so never regret anything in life. If it's good, that’s wonderful and if it’s bad, that’s experience. Be strong, be confident, build up your self-esteem and be a gentleman. It’s important for you to learn how to love, be loyal and respect women you date or marry but also know you are worthy of being loved, supported and respected too.

I have been a daughter, a sister, a lover, a wife, a mother, a homemaker, a leader and above all a multitasking woman who is capable of doing everything with a never ceasing smile.  Maybe I hide a thousand feelings behind my smile still, “Being woman is worth a celebration forever.”

Women are the real architects of society. I cherish womanhood every day because I can handle things in a thousand different ways on a thousand different days. There is only one thing wrong with me; sometimes I forget what I’m worth. So, no matter where you are in life inspire and empower the woman (women) around you. "The empowered woman is powerful beyond measure and beautiful beyond description". Be a reason for their smile. After all, a smile is the most beautiful curve on a woman’s body.

I have read somewhere that the world needs to listen more to women to balance itself with more feminine energy. And yes, actually when your father listens to my feelings without getting angry and frustrated, he definitely encourages me to express myself. I feel like if there is someone ready to listen to another’s pain, then it's worth living. But nowadays, we don’t listen to understand, we listen to reply. Please know, often it is not the brilliant argument that makes the difference. Sometimes the small act of listening is the greatest gift we can give. So communicate and listen to understand in every aspect of life for this trait of yours will account for success in a very meaningful way.

As your Mom, and as a woman, I want you to become a good human being first. As time accelerates you will know your strength and resilience.

Always know, I’m there for you and no matter what; I've got your back.

Love you to Pluto and back,

MOM
